What is it #43 and 43.5

This one is a two part guess. This is obviously aviation in nature but what was each side used for.

This is the front side.

This is the back side.

You can make your guesses as to either or both sides. Just be sure if you are guessing just one side, make it clear which side you are guessing

Don’t forget to check the unsolved button above.

  1. Timmeehh says:

    1 is a navigational sliderule
    2. is a tachymeter.

  2. Jeff Hickman says:

    E6B

  3. Timmeehh,
    1. Correct
    2. WRONG…..hey….sorry.

    Jeff,

Sorry, but Tim beat you to it……but I can give extra credit for the correct ‘terminology’ for the front side. However, this is not a true E6B in the sense you are thinking. The true E6B is entirely different on the back.

So between the two of you, what is the backside used for to calculate?

  4. Timmeehh says:

    Fuel consumption.

  5. Tim,

Fuel consumption is calculated on the front/other side AFTER the calculations are done on the back side.

    Sorry…….Keep trying.
